‍Gamification is by far one of PheedLoop’s most popular engagement features, and we've just made it even better!

It goes way beyond the basics of event gamification by allowing for things like built-in prize redemption, dynamic leader boards, scavenger hunts, configurable engagement points, sponsored prizes, QR code scanning (on-site), and more.

We love investing in making the gamification experience better and better because of how popular it is for events. Attendees love it, sponsors love it, event admins love it.

As we move towards a hybrid future, one thing we’ve heard across the industry are ways to unite in-person and virtual attendees. Well, we say “bah, humbug!” to that! Instead of uniting them, let’s give them swords and make them compete! We’re mostly kidding, of course, but the truth is that there are few things that are as uniting at an event as a bit of healthy competition to get the adrenaline rush we all love.

So, today we’re thrilled to introduce Team Gamification, available starting next week to all events that have enabled gamification!

How Team Gamification Works

Team-based gamification is simple to implement and a blast to experience. All you have to do is leverage the same Attendee Tags system you’re used to and select which tags are ones configured for team-based gamification. You can upload a custom logo and set a custom color as well if your teams are represented in different ways visually (e.g. by country, company, sponsor, etc.)

Then, in the leaderboard, alongside the regular individual leaderboard your attendees will see a real-time leaderboard showing the different teams and their rankings, as well as which attendees are the highest contributors to those teams.

Ideas for Team Gamification

Looking for some ideas for the types of teams you may want to create? Here are some creative ones to consider:

• Attendance Type (e.g. virtual or in-person)
• Nationality (e.g. Canada, US, Singapore)
• Department (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Engineering)
• Organization (e.g. Tesla, Ford, Mercedes)
• Title / Seniority (e.g. Interns, Managers, Executives)

This is also a great way to create excitement for sponsors! In addition to sponsored prizes, you can opt to create sponsored gamification teams as well and of course use their logos, branding, and colors.
