For those who couldn’t make it, PheedLoop recently hosted its highly-anticipated networking event for association executives at 5 Social in Halifax, Nova Scotia as part of the annual CSAE 2022 Conference: Reunite. If you didn’t make it, we’re here to give you a rundown of everything that happened, from the incredible CSAE Conference and what it means to be partnering with them (for the fourth year in a row, might we add), to the night of the social itself and everything in between!
CSAE, or The Canadian Society of Association Executives, is Canada’s premier organization dedicated to association and not-for-profit professionals. The organization strives to deliver the knowledge, resources and environment to advance association excellence by offering robust networking and learning opportunities, both online and in person, including an educational program leading to the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. They also produce publications, conduct research and pursue other knowledge transfer opportunities to keep members informed about the latest trends, innovations and best practices in the sector and beyond.
This marks the fourth year of PheedLoop partnering with CSAE to power their annual event with our award-winning event technology. This year's conference is the first one back onsite since the COVID-19 pandemic, so it’s an exciting time for us all!
As their official event tech sponsor, we provide the event with our cutting-edge event tech, including our onsite event check-in and badge printing solutions, virtual portal, and mobile event app. In return, we were able to get Canada’s top-rated event tech in the hands of some of the leading association executives in Canada along with a trade show booth to host interactive demonstrations and an opportunity to deliver an educational session, where Mitch got to speak about Next Level Strategies to Engage Your Exhibitors & Sponsors in 2022!
CSAE and the CSAE after-party were perfect opportunities for us to showcase new tech that we’ve been working on for so long now, including our interactive floorplans and seat planners, mobile apps, lead retrieval, and badge printing. This year, we received countless compliments from attendees on how smooth, fast, and effortless the event check-in process is, and how useful it is to have self check-in for sessions built into their mobile devices.
The main showstopper was the launch of our Community and Membership Management solution. As you may have heard by now, this is something that we’ve been working on over the past several months to allow all types of organizations to take their usage of PheedLoop to a new level. In a nutshell, Community and Member Management is a platform that combines the power of a CRM and AMS with an event management system to allow you to do everything from processing memberships and dues, to building social networks, creating marketing campaigns, tracking engagement data, and streamlining the way you run your organization alongside your events.
If you’re interested in learning more about Community and Member Management, make sure to reach out to email@example.com for more information.
Launching Member Management this year was a huge, ambitious goal of ours, and we’re so glad that we got to drop this announcement surrounded by people who love our platform and have supported us for years! Speaking of which, we were so overcome with gratitude towards our loyal customers for sticking with us that we wanted to give back and spotlight two specific organizations that have been with us through thick and thin.
We gave out two different awards during the social: PheedLoop Trailblazer and Pathfinder.
A Trailblazer is someone who takes risks, builds new paths, and leads the pack. The PheedLoop Trailblazer Award is an Award given to an event planner/organization for a creative use of PheedLoop. This year, we were thrilled to award the Trailblazer Award to the Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA).
Samantha Petryna, Programs Manager for the OWWA, was there to accept the award on behalf of her team. Samantha’s team were true Trailblazers when it came to the great pivot to virtual events at the beginning of the pandemic. Instead of taking their typical event format and trying to replicate it virtually, they took the pivot to virtual as an opportunity to test out new methods of engagement with their audience. Their pivot to virtual was so successful that we documented it and used it as a case study for other PheedLoop clients looking for inspiration on how to effectively switch an in-person event to the virtual format.
Pathfinders are individuals who are hungry for innovation and adventure. They're constantly looking for new trends and technologies to take their initiative to the next level. The PheedLoop Pathfinder Award is presented to an Agency/Production House for a creative use of PheedLoop. This year, we were proud to give the Pathfinder award to Redstone Agency!
Redstone Agency is one of the nation’s premiere event and association management companies. Led by Carly Silberstein and Bailey Roth, they are known for providing innovative and strategic event/association management services to its impressive portfolio of clients. PheedLoop has had the pleasure of partnering with Redstone Agency since 2018 and we’re constantly blown away by their inventive use of our platform to help meet the growing needs of their varying clients. Lindsay Murray, Account Manager at Redstone, was there to accept the award on behalf of her team.
That wraps up our CSAE and CSAE after-party recap! We definitely had a blast, and if you made it, we hope you had as much fun as we did hosting it. If, for whatever reason, you couldn’t make it, there’s definitely some exciting socials coming up as we close out the year and look forward to the new year ahead. Here’s to many more opportunities for leveling up, releasing new products and celebrating them with you, the incredible network of EventProfs who inspire us to strive for greatness. ❤🚀
